Installations, ordinations as needed Christian Education Oversees all aspects of Christian Education in the church Lenten Studies Adult Bible Studies Monday night studies Nursery Camps for youth ages 4th grade through graduation Conferences Library Small groups Summer "fun nights" Buildings and Grounds Oversees the maintenance of grounds and buildings Deals with contracts for use of facilities Worship Works closely with pastor and pastoral staff in planning and executing worship. Oversees the lay worship leaders Oversees bulletins, these are published by the office but need to be proofed. Candles: lighting of them, when candelabras are removed Helps coordinate all special services Ash Wednesday Maundy Thursday Good Friday Easter Pentecost World Communion Sunday Children's Sabbath Advent Christmas Eve Christmas Day Epiphany Coordinates with pastor, elders and servants for these events Oversees decorating for special events such as Lent and Easter and Advent Assist with Lenten soup suppers Gets supplies for special services, this includes Lenten and Advent devotionals Upper Room devotionals Missions Disperse annual mission funds Oversee the six special offerings Oversee mentoring at Roeding CROP walk FIRM sharing love mentoring program Miracle Day Annual Block Party Easter party coordinated in conjunction with Christian Ed and Congregational Life Angel Tree Giving Tree for Christmas ESA Love Inc. food pantry offerings monthly Bread Distribution Annual Missions picnic/potluck Inform congregation of mission activities and opportunities. Women’s Ministries Christian Women’s Fellowship group Meets monthly for groups meetings Meets 4 times annually for fellowship meals Regional Women’s Fall Retreat at Mission Springs, Sept Local Women’s Spring Retreat, March Women’s Day R&R (Relax and Renew) , August Provides food for families in pastoral need Supplies clothes and supplies for layettes at Community Hospital Works to gather items and support for Craycroft Children’s Shelter Men’s Ministries Meet monthly for breakfast and prayer Work with Buildings and Grounds to do work around the church Reach out to the men of the congregation to give them a place for service Regional Men’s retreat, Oct Promise Keepers Children’s Ministries Active learning for all ages on Sunday morning Summer Camp opportunities Monthly youth activities
